everybody been asking me whats my top ten… im not a critic or music journalist so why does my opinion matter … but since then i been reading alot of list and hell they cant even get it right … so here goes
10. Odd Future - insert whatever album u like . personally i like Bastard but i do think Earl’s release was the most soild out the bunch
9. Wiz Khalifa - went from college stoner kids to niggas in the hood banging “Black and Yellow” (Kush and Oj)
8. The Streets - the twitter album waiting on the official release but if “blip on the screen” is the preview of whats to come im not disapointed
7. Flying Lotus - he made me stop calling him a dilla-copy respect (cosmogramma)
6. Das Racist - shut up dude and sit down man and listen to kids in the hall meets dipset wit dead prez in they ipod (both mixtapes)
5. Arcade Fire - these niggas went bruce and u2 on this bitch and let me know the suburbs aint to much different from the hood (The Suburbs)
4. Curren$y - the nigga can rap and Ski brought it but his consistency is starting to be impressive (Pilot Talk I & II)
3. These New Puritans - Prolly wud of got #1 for me but i always gotta go with lyrics .. if i put production first Hidden wud of got it but u still cant take anything from them its like if Rza got influenced by Portishead and TNP got influenced by the Rza and try to show them both up
2. Lil B - need i say more i told u so (the whole rare collection)
1. Darwin Deez - he wrote the fuck outta this album … and i can listen to thee entire album not touching a track … i love the fact that every track pretty much has the same instruments sounds lo fi and he figured outta way not to make it sound monotonous love the live hand clapping on the hook every song has a purpose and it feels good to listen to point blank… call it what u want but i think Darwin Deez had the best album of the year (Darwin Deez)
